Student Health & Wellbeing

Drexel is a community fully committed to health and well-being. We understand that health is physical, social and emotional, both individual and collective. Well-being is foundational to each person’s success and the welfare of our entire university community. Studies show that when we’re feeling our best, we are more able to be and do our best.

Drexel aims to provide all students, faculty and professional staff with the resources and support to achieve all facets of well-being. From immunization and disease prevention to counseling services, from recreational facilities to expert nutritional advice, from support groups to sports teams, we are here to help you find what you need.

Visit Drexel's Health & Wellbeing page to stay up to date on upcoming events and programs, and stay connected with resources for physical, social, and emotional health. If you find yourself in need of immediate assistance, please contact the corresponding emergency resource right away.

Counseling Center

Whenever you need emotional support (even if you just don't feel like you at the moment), you are encouraged to take advantage of the free, confidential, and culturally-responsive counseling available through the Counseling Center. From wellness-focused workshops to online peer support through 7 Cups and the Peer Counseling Helpline, you are invited to try out any of the Counseling Center's options and find what works best for you.

Student Health

Drexel is committed to maintaining the health and safety of all our students. Whether you need allergy shots, treatment for a sports injury, or more — Drexel's Student Health Center exists to provide you with a range of health services in a confidential environment staffed by doctors and nurse practitioners. And the Office of Health Insurance and Immunizations provides important information regarding compliance with Drexel University's health insurance and immunization policies in order to ensure the health and well-being of all members of the Drexel community using the American College Health Association and the Centers for Disease Control guidelines.

Disability Resources

Disability Resources empowers individuals who have documented disabilities by working together to proactively provide reasonable accommodations. This office can also facilitate temporary adjustments for all individuals with short-term impairments such as those due to accident, injury, or illness. If you are a student with a disability, you are encouraged to request reasonable accommodations as soon as you can.

Feed a Dragon

To help students succeed without having to worry about food, Drexel provides the following support:

  • Mario's Market – A food pantry located within the Student Center for Diversity and Inclusion for all students, staff, and faculty in need
  • Student Meal Swipe Donation Program – The Meal Swipe Donation Program was created to ensure that registered students experiencing food insecurity have access to meals through partnership with Aramark and the Drexel Campus Dining Program.
  • Public Resources – Other resources are available to the general public in the Philadelphia area, such as SNAP and #RealCollegePHL

If you or someone you know needs support beyond those listed on this page, please email feedadragon@drexel.edu.

Other Health Services

Overall health services, as well as alcohol- and other drug-related educational resources, are provided to all members of the Drexel community throughout the year. Plus, the Drexel Autism Support Program (DASP) provides robust support for Drexel's neurodiverse students and aims to ensure that DASP participants take advantage of University life, develop the academic and social skills needed to pursue career opportunities, and lead full and enriched lives.
